BAG held its 9th Annual Little Neck Bay "Bass Beach" Clean Up beginning at 10 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2003. Through the support of the NYC Dept. of Parks and the NY State Dept. of Environmental Conservation, bags, gloves, rakes and shovels are provided for this event.

We would like to give a special thanks to all the volunteers and their families that did show up to help us despite the terrible weather conditions. Due to those weather conditions we felt it to be safer if we turned away all those who did show up to volunteer.

However our dedicated club members put on thier rain gear and braved the rain to clean Bass Beach. Thank you!!

Bass Beach is accessed by walking to the southern end of the bay along the bicycle path adjacent to the Northbound Cross Island Parkway. Take the Cross Island Parkway to Northern Blvd. West. Go about ½ mile and make a right onto Bell Blvd. Continue North on Bell about 1 mile and make a right onto 35th Ave. Bear left and park at end. Footbridge to the bicycle path is up the hill opposite Crocheron Pond. For further info. call Ken @ 718-631-4394.
